Is it Thanksgiving yet?!

We are getting so close to Thanksgiving break, y'all!  Like only 6 more school days for this girl!!!  I'm so excited to spend that week relaxing and doing some things around the house to prepare for our little girl's arrival (which should be within the next couple of months!!)!!!

But, while we are still at school, we have plenty to do!  We dove straight into all things Thanksgiving this week...

We started our week with making this cute little turkey from A Cupcake for the Teacher :)

And, we've been super busy using the centers from my Let's Be Thankful unit!  I love watching the kiddos work on these things independently!

We've been completing some of the book activities from my unit as well!  Thanksgiving things can be cute and fun, BUT throw in sequencing and main idea... now that's just cute and good for the brain {and the teacher's grade-book, right?!}!

We had a little extra time yesterday, so we made our mashed potato bowl with our Thanksgiving Top 3 List...
Makes me ready for all that yummy food.....
You can find all these things (except Mrs. Cupcake's turkey of course) and LOTS more in this unit on TpT:

I have a few fun pictures from what's going on in my actual life... you know the Mrs. Lemons that lives outside of the school building?!!  Our Cross Country team went to the Regional Meet this past weekend, so we got some shirts made and headed down to the race early Saturday morning...
And, they qualified for State!  So, we'll be traveling to Austin to see our girls run in the State Meet this weekend, YAY!
My sweet little puppies FINALLY got their hair cut!  They were so shaggy and nasty, and it was about time!!!
And, I got an outfit inspiration from my sweet friend, Rachelle, from What the Teacher Wants.  You should follow those fun ladies on Instagram also!  If only I could wear jeans to work :(

I'm off to pack for this weekend!  Hope you all have a fabulous Friday!

Thanks for posting about your unit. I didn't have time to create one this year and yours covers all of the skills I need and more right now. Thanks so much for making great products!

Hi Amy. Love love love your blog!!!! I am a definitely stalking it :). Lol. Just entered the blogging world. It's fun but I feel like I'm talking to myself :). Lol.

I was wondering if I could ask you a question... I teach second grade and I just started selling some of my items on TPT. I notice that you do a lot of craftivities in your classroom and sell them on TPT in your kits.... So my question is.... When you add a craftivity to one if your kits, how do you make them? Do you use photoshop or ppt? And then when a teacher buys them is she making tracers from the pieces in your kit. I did a cactus craft in my class this week but I just drew it out on construction paper and made tracers for the kids to use and then thy used the tracers to make their own on construction paper. But I'm confused how to add this to one of my kits. Can you tell me how you do it? I would be forever grateful!!!! tracers from the pieces in your kit. Hugs and thanks so much inspiration.

Adorable Turkeys! I have an American father so as a kid we always celebrated Thanksgiving, I miss it! I loved the couple of years I taught in the US and getting to celebrate with the kiddos. Enjoy the next 6 days and have a great break!

Can I just say that you are my favorite second grade blogger! My kiddos did one of your activities the other day that said "made by Amy Lemons" and they were all, "Who's Amy Lemons?" and I was all, "She's my friend who teaches in Texas and gave this to me for you!" haha (I teach in KY)

I noticed that you started your adoption process in early February and you are already anticipating your little girl's arrival. How amazing! I think we are soul mates, because my husband and I are wanting to adopt from the Congo as soon as he graduates from Seminary. We've heard the process usually takes 2 years...could you give me some insight into what agency you used? It sounds like they are efficient!

Hello Amy,
Love your blog and our whole first grade team follow you. I have two questions, 1) when you create kits where to do purchase or download all the special, cute fonts and borders? and 2) I love that necklace...where can I find it?
You are truly talented and look forward to your blogs. Thank you!
Keep up the great work and sharing.
