I work pretty dang hard most of the time, but I do also know how to treat myself to a relaxing day! After I had taught for about 2 years I really figured out how to manage my work/home life. Now, that's all kinda changed since I'm a blogger, but I do make time for myself.
The most relaxed I've ever been is in Hawaii. I don't bite my nails there, I don't check my email 100 times, I can just literally lay there all day and soak up the sun!
But, let's get real. I obviously don't live in Hawaii, so I have to figure out how to relax in my real life. I enjoy going to the movies with the Mr. and my friends! I do love a little 3D action with my BFF!
These next few things don't necessary relax me because crafting can stress me out, but it helps me to zone out the rest of the world! I hosted a little Pinterest crafting night for my church home group ladies, and it was tons of fun! We all made wreaths, of course :)
Decorating is very therapeutic for me. I have thoroughly enjoyed taking the time to prepare my little girl's room. I put away my school stuff for several days to tackle this project!
Most often, when I need a little pick-me-up, I shop. I am really good at shopping, how 'bout you?! Thankfully, the Mr. doesn't get upset too often ;)
My newest source of retail therapy is Very Jane, thanks to my sweet friend Abby. She introduced me to this website a few weeks ago, and I am addicted. Like, it's bad y'all. I buy something at least a few times each week! But, it feels so good to press that "Buy This Deal" button!
I can't forget about Pinterest. Anytime that I have a spare moment I zone out and pin away :)
Oh, and I love being at home in my bed. We recently bought a foam mattress, an iComfort to be exact. It's pretty heavenly.
Other things I enjoy partaking in to relax:
*Pedicures
*Massages (about 1-2 times a year)
*Getting my house professionally cleaned
*Reading my Bible
*Eating ice cream
My sweet pups are always wanting to relax with me, and how can I resist a face like this?!
What do you do to relax and make time for yourself? Link up with Blog Hoppin' and give us your tips! Maybe we'll be all kinds of relaxed this year :)

You Might Be a First Grader...
Would you ever consider writing a blog post about how you stay ahead? I have admired you for years and love the fact that you seem to be two steps ahead at school! I am learning how to work smarter, not harder and would love to see how you do it!
I love the little stuffed OWL on the bed. My classroom is OWL themed and i've been looking high and low for a class "mascot". where'd you find it?
