Well, day 1 of Teacher Week was tons of fun, so I'm back for more! After reading several blogs I have now purchased fun chart markers and my first-ever personal laminator! Can't wait for these to come in the mail, Woo-Hoo!
Today I am here to bring you some sort of Technology Tip. I wanted to share some of the websites that my class visits frequently.
We use Brain Pop Jr. almost daily in my classroom. My district has always provided a subscription to this website, but if they didn't, I would pay for it out of my own pocket because it's just that good!
These next 3 websites are absolutely wonderful because they have books online, for FREE! Who wouldn't just fall in love with that?! The first website doesn't read the book for you, but they are still great to project in your classroom.
Read to Me and Storyline Online are especially marvelous when you have a sore throat, they can actually be lifesavers!
My class visits Spelling City religiously. We rely heavily on this website for studying spelling words. Can't get enough!
And, if I need a quick little video or visual, I go to Study Jams. They have great little mini-lessons that will work wonderfully with what you are doing in class!
My last little tip for you may be the absolute best thing ever. My friend, Lindsey (aka the teacher wife), is starting a new blog dedicated to helping bloggers with all those burning questions that we have! She is more than talented, and has such a great eye for blogging. Can't wait to see what she has in store for us :) I know I'll be her number 1 cheerleader in this new venture!
