I Survived!

I survived my first day of school, and so did all the kiddos, thankfully!  I snapped a few pictures with my phone before I left for the day so that I could give you a little update on my classroom.

Our school is enforcing a new behavior plan that includes rules for the school, hall, cafeteria, and restroom.  Last week I decided that I wanted these displayed in my classroom.  So, I used Michelle's idea to enlarge my posters.  After I created the documents, I uploaded them to Walmart and had them resized to 16x20 inches.  They fit perfectly above my lockers!  And, we can now refer to them throughout the year :)  I just bought some cheap $5 frames to put them in.

A little close-up look

You can click on the pictures below to download your copy of these posters.

We did the same "get to know you" activity that we did last year.  Unfortunately I don't have a copy of this handprint that I can share with you, but it would be super easy to recreate!  After my kiddos finished making their "handprint," each child chose 2 things to share about with the class.
My teammate made these cutie patootie activities that you can pick up for free in her TPT shop!  She has it available in English and Spanish :)

Now, I'm off to finish dinner and try to get ahead on my lesson plans!  Happy evening to you all!

Your room looks wonderful and the posters are great! Here in California, we don't have lockers in the classroom. What do your kiddos use them for?

Thank you for incorporating something that has English and Spanish. My students all speak English fairly well but most of their parents can not and its nice to do things so their parents can read it and the kids can show off their special talent.
