This past week, I started to put my Cameo Silhouette to use in order to get ready for a new school year! So far, I've made 2 things for my classroom AND I must say that my Cameo and I are becoming close friends :) I'm super excited that I didn't have to buy letters or cut them out myself for these projects!
The first project I had was to make a classroom sign for above my door. Since our school is going with a sports/olympics theme, I decided to stick with that. We will be the Lemons' Olympians this year :). I used the Cameo to cut out the letters and polka dots... super simple and very timely!
And, if I have room I'll put these guys (that I've already blogged about) next to my sign :)
As soon as I saw this little Book Ambulance on Pinterest, I knew I had to make one! So, I ran up to Hobby Lobby to buy the little wooden decal, then used my Cameo to make the vinyl letters! Love!
(I have tried really hard to find the original source for this pin, but cannot! If you know where it came from, please let me know!)
So, do yourself a favor and order a Cameo NOW! You'll be just as giddy as I was when it came to my doorstep :)

Love, love, love it all! I am obsessed with my Silhouette! It is such a nifty little tool. I did pretty much all the decor for my daughter's first birthday party using my Silhouette! Don't know what I'd do without it!
I have never heard of it. Can you give more details how it works and what all you need to buy? Can you just buy the machine or do you need other items as well???
This sign looks great!

I must make a book hospital that is as cute as that! Last year mine was just a regular red bin... BO-RING!

This is my first year teaching and I'm doing an Olympic theme with my second graders as well! I would love to see more of what you are planning on doing in your class!
Congrats on getting a Cameo! I cannot live without my silhouette!

I have the Silhouette SD and love it. It's so nice to have so many options when decorating my classroom. Definitely worth the investment.
I do love the book hospital idea. I need to make one. I usually just throw them in a bin under my desk where they end up sitting forever.
I definitely need to make a book ambulance as cute as yours! Also, I've been seeing all the cute things people are making with their cricuts and cameos and just added the cameo to my Amazon wishlist!! Did you hear that family? Hint! Hint!
Another reason why I need to buy a cameo!! I love your book ambulance & your olympic craftivity is darling!

I LOVE the book ambulance! I HAVE to make one!
I've nominated you for a Versatile Blogger award at http://acrucialweek.blogspot.ie/2012/07/versatile-blogger-nominations.html
What font did you use? I hae a silhouette, too. I love it oh so much!
This ambulance rocks! I am always guilty of stuffing broken/ripped books in drawers, closets, garbage cans because kids hand them to me mid-thought! What a clever idea!
P.S. I love your blog! You inspired me to start my own a couple weeks ago: Multiage Moments
Amy, I love your Olympic kiddos! Do you have a pattern? We are doing an Olympic theme for the beginning of school and this would be so cute! Could you let me know how to get the pattern? Thanks. Connie.howard@gscs.org
