Back to School Writing Craftivities

How many of you are locked out of your school building right now?!  This is the first year EVER that our school district has decided to close down the buildings for the summer.  On one hand, I appreciate the fact that I can't really work throughout my summer, but on the other hand, I am DYING to get in there and get some things done!  In summers past, I would go up to the school every now and then for a couple of hours at a time as I pleased.  Well, since I can't physically be in my room for several weeks, I have decided to do as much work on the computer as I can!

Here are my latest projects for the beginning of the year...

Glue Bottle Writing Craftivity... behind the title page is a booklet that students fill out.  This will be great for the first few weeks of school!

And, a scissors writing craftivity!  I'm going to have my students draw the name of a classmate from a bucket.  Then, they will write what makes that classmate stand out and special!  This activity should build classroom unity!

You can pick these activities up in my TpT store!

Now that I've done a little work, I think I'll go take a nap!  It's tough working during the summer ;)

  2. These are super cute! I am locked out my building too. I think it is good to get a solid break from school. It makes me that much more excited to go back in August. It is like I am visiting an old friend again.

  3. Super cute Amy! I'm not locked out of the building right now. I actually had to go move my classroom today and I have to finish tomorrow. Then, I will be unable to go back for a while when the custodians are on vacation and working on certain things. I'll probably go back in late July. I have so much work to do now that my room is moved. I lost almost all my storage and I'm going to have to improvise something.

  22. Girl,
You were the first blogger I ever found on Pinterest, and I've been following your E V E R Y move ever since. You're my idol! Seriously, my whole school, and district are hooked on you, since I taught a class on how to use Pinterest, and used your blog as an example of a search. I have so much of your stuff, it's hard to choose, but I won the summer heat, I'd pick the I Can Regroup unit, which I don't have already. Thanks for being so inspirational, creative, and such a sharing teacher!
