A little activity...

I don't have a whole lot to share today, just one little activity!

A couple of weeks ago I blogged about a little writing activity that I was going to do with my kiddos.  Well, we didn't have time last week, so we started today!

First, we made this little chart and focused on writing verbs in the past tense.  We tried to think of some valuable verbs that we could include in our writing also!

We read these books to help us generate ideas about babies and being little.

Then, we started our book.  We wrote the first 2 pages and made sure that we used past tense verbs!

This one is, of course, from one of my little boys...

You can pick this little activity up on TPT for free just by clicking the picture below!  We will use the next two days to finish up our books!

That's all I have for today... it was definitely a Monday for me!  We are in full on survival mode now... 9 weeks and counting!

Haha!! I just saw this post and I can't stop laughing!!! So cute! I was also looking at your spring unit on TpT and it makes me feel comfortable with the thought of teaching 2nd grade! Why am I such a wuss?? Haha! But I saw a ridiculously funny comment about printers being jammed bc of it and I just couldn't stop laughing! Stop jamming those printers Amy!! Haha! Hope everything is ok after the tornado :)

Hadar... you should have seen my reaction when I read that comment. I just kept saying out loud, "How is my fault that a printer is jammed?" HAHA!
