It's almost the weekend, y'all! I am going to make this short and sweet... just want to give you a peek at some noun activities I'll be doing over the next few weeks!

This next one is the only one without directions- I was thinking that I may have my kiddos cut out pictures from magazines for the Common/Proper Sort, or just have them generate a list of those type of nouns. I wanted to leave it open for whatever comes up!
Also, my class has LOVED reading about Henry and Mudge this week! I think the boys have especially enjoyed it. Our reading focus was looking at the plot of a story. Here's a few pictures from the week!
After reading, "Henry and Mudge and the Long Weekend" (where they make a castle and Mudge is the King) we brainstormed the BME and made these cute Mudges- I just looked a picture of Mudge and make tracers for the kids.
Here's how we started learning about Plot:
You are AMAZING!Over the last 17 years I have taught every grade but 2nd..But thanks to you I have a wealth of ideas now! I look forward to reading your blog everyday and can't seem to get enough! Thanks for being an inspiration to the profession!
ReplyDeleteHey,
ReplyDeleteI had posted my comment about what I was wondering if you could create for me on an older post... but not sure if you look back at your older post comments, so thought I'd re-post it...
I was thinking some kind of a unit for telling time to the minute--- 3rd/4th grade level. Maybe a couple of posters in there (your posters are really cute and eye-catching...), maybe a matching game, a couple worksheets, and one other game. I wouldn't need it for a few weeks.
And, I was also wondering what you could make up for polygons--maybe the different types of polygons (quadrilaterals, pentagons, hexagons, octagons, triangles)--maybe a poster or two, some type of matching game, or anything else to throw into the unit. just a small unit... I wouldn't need this one until mid- November..
Let me know what you think!
Thanks!
Rebecca
