I wanted to share a couple of things with you. First things first... I made several writing activities that can be used for the first week of school. Here are a few sample images (There are more in the actual download):
Next up, I wanted to share a packet that I have for my students/parents at Meet the Teacher Night. This is not meant for you to use word for word because it's so campus/grade level/teacher specific. BUT, it may give you an idea on how you can present important information to your class.
Last, but certainly not least, I am a new author of the 2nd grade blog, "Me and My Gang!" I'm super excited about it, and you should definitely check it out!

I am a huge fan! :) I just wanted to say thank you for the great ideas you offered on the back to school packets and I wanted to let you know that there is a typo on the 2nd Grade writing activities packet... I just wanted to let you know before you go and make tons of copies for your students. On the page that says "Write Your Name" at the top of it you wrote on the bottom "This is how I wrote my name OF the first day of 2nd grade"; and I believe its supposed to say ON the first day of 2nd grade! Again, thanks for all of the materials that you share with us! You're fabulous! :)
